Basic Purpose
A Corporate Account Manager is responsible for sourcing business and managing client relationships on behalf of Canad Inns, in accordance with financial targets and brand standards. A Corporate Account Manager is required to actively represent Canad Inns in local community and business organization and events, and act as a liaison between clients and Destination Centres. The role involves regular travel for client meetings, sales initiatives, and hosting, with required trips to Portage la Prairie, Brandon, and Grand Forks, ND, USA
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Develop and maintain prioritized prospecting of new accounts, local, regional and national clientele, using market information, resource and networking opportunities
- Demonstrate a high level of creativity personal commitment to achieving sales targets
- Timely follow up on all tentative business to ensure signed contacts are returned
- Follow up on potential sales leads to identify and positively influence decision makers to use Canad Inns services
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry colleagues to stay award of market trends, shifts competitors product, pricing and positioning
- Prepares and executes highly professional proposals, agreements, presentations and correspondence
- Be fully versed and aware of all Canad Products and facilities carrying out site inspections as applicable while actively promoting Canad Inns
- Provides ongoing, current knowledge to internal and external guests to ensure quality assurance
- To assist in the development of personal annual sales targets/plans
- To attend and actively participate in all corporate sales meetings
- Collaborate with the VP of Revenue Management and other Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate individuals with calls-to-actions, dates complete profile information, sources and so on
- Create RFP responses to potential clients
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other networking events and functions
- Make outbound follow up calls to existing customers via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales
- Overcome objections of prospective customers
- Emphasize product and service features and benefits of the Canad Inns, quote process, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the client database
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
- Attend periodic sales training where applicable
- Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position
- Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Address client inquiries regarding status of event, orders, payment, refunds, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
