At the 2012 Prairie Classic, 32 world class curling teams will compete in the triple knockout event for the $58,000 purse. The tournament will include teams from Canada (Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Newfoundland), the USA, China, Sweden, and Scotland. Canada will be represented by Jeff Stoughton, 1996 and 2011 World Champion, Kevin Koe, 2010 World Champion, Glenn Howard, 2007 and 2012 World Champion, Brad Gushue, 2006 Olympic Gold Medal Winner, and Kevin Martin, 2008 World Champion and 2010 Olympic Gold Medal Winner, as well as two-time defending Prairie Classic champion Mike McEwen.
