Canad Inns is proud of its ability to recruit and staff our destination centres and facilities to reflect the diverse environment of the communities in which we do business. We have a non-discrimination policy which clearly advocates zero-tolerance based on the accepted criteria of the Canadian Human Rights code and the Human Rights Code of Manitoba. This policy has encouraged an atmosphere of tolerance and acceptance in all of our facilities.
At the hotel level, we have Human Resources present in all of our 12 facilities. This presence ensures that all management practices are being followed and management stays informed of the concerns of their employees. Canad Inns has also assigned an individual at each facility who is responsible for ensuring a healthy and safe environment.
All properties and the head office have staff lunchrooms with refrigerators, resting areas and other amenities. Our staff received free coffee and soft drinks, along with subsidized meals in our restaurants.
As a support to hotel employees, Canad Inns assists front line employees in their training and development and regularly communicate with our employees through our CanadPRIDE newsletter.
